Well we almost have all of our Goodbye's done here at Hedge Whisperer's. Another young Cinnamon Snowflake male left his companions and is off to his new home. On Saturday another young Cinnamon Snowflake female will be going home to her new home as well. So now that leaves only two Cinnamon Snowflake pinto's to go which I'm sure will take place any time now.
Last night we spruced the babies up and gently massaged some "Aveeno Oatmeal" shampoo onto their wee bodies to help relieve the itch and pain from the adult quills growing in right now. A nice warm bath with a bath toy, some gentle shampooing with the toothbrush and gently on the tummy with my hands, and they feel a little bit better and the pain has eased off just a bit from the 5 minute soak in the oatmeal with warm water.
It almost runs a parallel to when babies cut their first teeth, they hurt, mom tries everything she knows to help ease the pain, and within a couple of weeks or so all is back to normal again. Our smiles return, we are ready to play some with Mom or Dad and still having our frequent naps. Thank goodness for mom's and oatmeal shampoo. Till next time "Stay Quilled".

Thistle (the name of the adorable cinnamon snowflake pinto you gave to us today) is now cozy in her new cage. We put a shirt in her cage for her to get used to our smell and she seems to be doing well. She's just sleeping for the most part i've put some food in her cage but she hasn't eaten anything just yet. Thought you would like an update on the arrival home :) Thanks again so much!!
